Most of these units are DIY and being in the field of lighting I can honestly say "DON'T DO IT!" It completely ruins the way the headlamp operates.
The reflector is there to do a job and smoking any part of it or the lense will radically effect how it works for the worse. Even changing the colour of the lamp can effect the photometry of the unit
seeing as to seem to be the man to ask, can you recommend some good headlight bulbs? or is standrad one juts as good?
dont wanna spend a fortune on some fancy ones though
