You have to check what kind of input the Gotech will take. Either Hall effect, optical, or Variable Reluctance. The Hall and Optical give a similar output, but the VR needs conditioning circuitry. The ECU will probably have provison for all these built in, but it's best to check.

The Fiesta and Sierra 1800 use VR sensors.

You can actually use the std dizzy for the pickup, and not use it as a Distributor - ie the coilpacks/edis module provides the spark. You'd have to mount the coilpacks elsewhere, but that's no prob.
