I've had a quick search but can't really find that much info. I know theres probably stacks on here but I'm probably looking in the wrong place

Basically, whats the difference between a 4x4 head and a 2wd head. I have a 200 block in my 2wd but I assume still the 2wd head?

Can a 4x4 head be fitted to a 2wd? Any advantages/disadvantages if it can?

The reason I ask is that my head gasket is seeping oil out of the side so I need to get it replaced. At the same time, I have puffs of blue smoke at start up and occasionally when driving which I assume is the valve seals or guides.

So I was thinking of getting a head, fitting new guides valves and seals in it ready just for a straight swap when I do the gasket.

How much are you looking for a good second hand head?
