trying using a bradal, with a little WD40 hit that see if it moves, if not then try tapping the caliber it self just to losen the pin then try with the bradel again.

As to the other problem, if u have removed to lid for the brake fluid then yea that be ok, the piston is the part that presses the brake pad to to disc.
