Undo the 2 bolts hodling the shock to the hub, MUCH easier, and you don't have to worry about anything flying out, and its also a LOT easier to get the hub back inline with the shock, those inner arm bolts are hard enough when you are bolting up the arm with nothing else connected, let alone figthing against the shock, tie bar, rollbar and the spring!!!????
huh? just done the rear springs on our stripped mk3 and havent had any of the probs you just mentioned, nothings fighting you as the spring is compressed by the extra jack under the arm....
undid the back bolt, lowered the jack, levered the arm down, spring out, new one in, jacked up the arm, bolt back in. 20 mins a side?!
