1.8 16v pats/ecu

I need some help, i'm totally stuck.
I've done a 1.8 16v with 2l cams, gti manifold, escort conversion bits-oil/water/sump on a mondeo 1.8.
I bought the gti wiring-ecu and transponder. i know its internal pats-and that i need the key! I didn't know at the time. The wires going to the transponder have two coming off it that going to a connector plug.
2x black/orange go to the clock and a white one goes where??? any1 know it would be a great help- i ditched the fuse box etc and the wiring is running indepandant from the Ford KA wiring.
Part of the problem is-the gti wiring i'm using needs the ecu/key,barrel,transponder- No scrap yards in my area have any 1.8 escort wiring and the ones that do-180 quid. i would buy a cheap escort scappa but there's none around my area part from spare/repair for 450 quid.
The guy who's going to reprogramme it said that white wire coming from the tranpsonder is causing him not to get a signal or my ecu is fooked?
Honestly i've had this car build and ready to use on the roads/track days but the wiring is doing my head it - Its been 3months and it hasnt moved.
Any one with any advice please,please help-i don't care i have to rip the the pats out of the ecu
