Changed the Cambelt on my 1.7 Puma at the weekend, built it back up and . . . it wouldn't start!

after looking at it it looks like the Variable Cam Timing pulley is out - can anyone offer any light on the matter of putting it right as I am running out of places to look for information!!!!

Please help!!!
