Well, I no longer have the time or can justify keeping my beloved Cabriolet. Therefore, I will soon be breaking the whole car.

However, I need to sell the engine first as I want the buyer to be able to hear it running in the car so that they can feel confident in their purchase.

I have spent the last few years restoring and rebuilding this car and am very sad to reach this stage. The engine was rebuilt early this year and has covered just 600 miles since. I have all the recent MOT's to prove just how few miles the car itself has done in recent years.

Once the engine is gone I will begin to post the other items I have for sale - engine must go first though!

Details of exactly what was done to the lump:

Four new oversize pistons and rings (+0.5mm)
New genuine Ford cam (cost £130)
New genuine Ford timing belt
New genuine Ford headgasket
All genuine Ford gaskets, seals and filters
Replaced valve stem oil seals, again with Ford items

This is just the engine for sale, and will not include the turbo, manifolds etc, unless we can come to an agreement on price.

All of this was carried out at an expense of nearly £1,000. Obviously I am not expecting to receive this and am therefore open to sensible offers.
