You could probably get a gearbox speed sensor from a jap car and adapt it to fit onto your speedo cable(or whereever?) then this will give a signal to the avc-r. this is only needed for gear prediction for gear to gear boost control. also can give you a nice digital display of speed to revs/throttle pos/boost/solendoid duty/injector duty. if you like.
