a mate of mine went to view a 4x4 saphire cossie

he said when it started up it was quite as anything
but prob about 1 min in to running theres a funny noise he couldn,t describe it could it be knocking as i thought they only done it when they are cold,could it be tappets?

told him not to buy it until i can can go view
any help would be great
