I'm only quoting what Autocar actually achieved with timing gear - don't shoot the messenger! American mags and a German one have had times under 12 seconds to 100 but one of the American mags always gets impressive (?) figures.
Remember it weighs probably a fair bit more thatn your estate too - somewhere around 1570kilos or a bit more. What's your estate - 1300 kilos?
I've driven one on the road ( albeit only a test demo with a salesman in the car ) but it did feel pretty quick for a standard car.
As for the extra 1.2seconds to do 1/4 over 100, I'll have a look and see what speed they had to make a gearchange.
