while it's not for me, my wife goes to church every sunday.

but i made a point of going today for the rememberance service.

pisses me off at what the younger lads at work know about this sort of thing.

me and a mate have been a couple of times to the normandy landing sites, once on the ferry allocated for the returning old soldiers in 2004. escorted by royal navy warships and a canadian ship and a US navy ship.
very moving to hear these guys tell their stories first hand.

my sisters next door neighbour is an ex-lancaster pilot, and as far as he's concerned NOTHING is too much trouble for me.

no, we can't. when a war is forgotten, another always starts to take it's place...
