Had a test drive in one a few weeks back ( at the local dealer launch weekend) and they are very impressive for a std car. Sound a fair bit rortier than the old E46 330i ( use the same block ...not the newer magnesium type block )

Don't know how much tuning potential there will be in them but I've heard 370/380 might be on the cards.
