My favoured method is slightly different again.

I undo the 4 bolts holding the 2 parts of the exhaust manifold together and remove the turbo with the trousers atached. Then I undo the nuts/bolts holding the inlet manifold to the head, and leave the whole plenum assembly complete (you don't have to mess around with any of the fuel system this way). Then remove the engine with the head on in one go.
