Kim when cleaning the water change no more than 25% put some drops of stress relief. If the water was murky and the filter is good put in some drops of Algae killer.
I did the same mistake (not letting my fish dry out on the floor LOL) changed too much of the water cause it was turning green and brown. I thought a whole new tank of water would solve it, Nope LOL.
Algae killer will do the trick.
