Hey I have BK racing 5 spoke 17" low profile alloys on my 1.7 beast! They were already on the car when I purchased it.
I wouldn't advise it purley because you can feel every bump in the road! And the steering also sometimes shakes as the wheels are so big it's only allowing a few inches for the tyres to turn! Had the tracking and balancing done 4 times since I've had the car (Feb06 - Nov06) and within a few days it throws it back out again. Been advised this from 3 garages, that the wheels look fantastic and set the car off but I'll be going through tyres like I would hot dinners! And 17" low profiles aren't cheap I can tell you!
