I tried watching a dvd on my desktop lastnight, its in the bedroom connected to a 19" LCD tv/monitor, but it was a bit jerky. I am in the process of decorating, the tv/monitor is going by itself on the wall in one corner with the PC and freeview box etc going in the cupboard in the other corner.

Any way the PC is an AMD Athlon XP 2800 with 512 RAM and a GeForce FX5200 128Mb grafix card

Why is it jerky, is it because of the graphics card?

oh and its connected by dvi
