Yep, the products are fine to use on original paint You can try removing swirls with a product like SSR1, but ultimately, full swirl removal is achievable by machine and not by hand.

The CK VMG will take off what is on the car already, and if you've not clayed, you should also do this first.

As you'll have time over the winter, clay the car carefully, then polish with the CK VMG. Apply 2-3 coats of EX-P and then several coats of OCW to your liking.
