Right, a bit of an update. I had it to a garage and they checked the wiring etc, and gave it the thumbs up.

They checked the battery out and said the electrolyte was low or something along those lines, so suggested the battery could do with being replaced.

I bought a new battery and waited until the car wouldn't turn over again before fitting it. Once fitted the car started first time on the key.

Its been spot on for about a month now then 2 days ago its started playing up again. Its now stuck outside my girlfriends unable to start.

Brand new battery and starter and all wiring checked...what could it be?

What could be draining the battery so much that it's unable to start?

It has the standard Ford alarm on it, could that be on its way out and drawing to much current?

I'm well and truly pissed off with it now
