Default turbo cabriolet

think a few of you on here have seen this before but since then a few major changes have happened in the form of an rs turbo transplant. it all started when some bloke was selling a s2 rs turbo cheap so i (my dad) bought it lol we wer going to do it up and sell it origanlly but it needed a bit of work to make clean but it wasnt a complete shed but the decision was then made to take the lot out of the rs turbo to put into my cabriolet. so the conversion started first of the lot was taken out the rs turbo including the loom the next step was then take the engine and box etc all out of mine bu tthe loom was still left in mine so after all the mechanical bits were put into mine the car was then taken to the auto electricians on the back of a lorry were the loom was all sorted it ten came back and was running but it did have its problems which i did expect the first problem was the gearbox was knackered should of really tested itout in the rs turbo but it started and drove the gearbox was only noisy once you got to a little bit of speed and also there was major overboost so first job was to change the box and put the xr3i gearbox back it in i wasnt worried about loosing the lsd because it was running major power and couldnt be fussed with finding aanother lsd box so while the box was out i decided to do the clutch as well because my ame had 1 for sale £10 brand new so it would have been rude not to buy it and it was a good job too because mine was down to the rivets and while the box was out i fitter my twin core forge intercooler because it looked a lot easier to do without everything in the way and i wouldnt want to do it with everything in the way so that was in and it was put back together then we moved onto the overboost we first adjusted it on the bleed valve and we did until it was almost spot on then we moved on to the actuator we took this of to find it was proper knackered so kanckered it snapped in half so a new 1 was needed phoned about about and found an almost new -31 actuator for £25 bargain this was put on and it still overboosted if when it was adjusted loads i t thn had a problem were sometimes it would start others it wouldnt i thought it was the battery but after you had been for a run it wouldnt start i then found out that the fuel pump could cause both the overboost which was ctually lack of fuel and cause it not to start because it didnt have any petrol because it still had the efi pump on when it is now mfi so the tank and pump was swapped over and now its running perfect and thats it ill shut up now lol and show you some pics

what do you all think cheers billy
