used to do this years ago, when I was a bit younger. basically you walk through woods/field/bushes, in a line of other beaters, with a big stick, trying to scare the pheasants into flight... they are lazy bastards tho.
used to get a fiver a day (quite a bit when your 14), all you could eat at lunchtime, and a brace of pheasants at the end of the day.
So basically I just wave my stick about and keep inline
