Medical standards
You may be refused a lorry or bus driving licence if you suffer from any of the following:
* liability to epilepsy/seizure
* diabetes requiring insulin (unless you held a licence on 1 April 1991 and the Traffic Commissioner who issued that licence had knowledge of your condition)
* eyesight defects
* heart disorders
* persistent high blood pressure
* a stroke within the past year
* unconscious lapses within the last five years
* any disorder causing vertigo wihin the last year
* severe head injury, with serious continuing after-effects, or major brain surgery
* Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis or other chronic nervous disorders likley to affect the use of the limbs
* mental disorders
* alcohol/drug problems
* serious difficulty in communicating by telephone in an emergency
