Soon after I fitted my coilovers, I was warned mk6 escorts suffer from this kind of structural failure at the rear from overly stiff suspension...... not sure where this person got their info from.

Same could be true for mk5 fiestas...

What year is this 106? If it's c.2000 or newer, I'm scared, if it's more like 1995, then I'd expect the arches to be corroded in the first place, but it's definitly been quickened by the high spring rates
