Who dug this up

Just to quantify what I said at the top of the thread, I think the ST range are fantastic cars.

They are the modern version of the XR rather than a new RS though imo but that is not a diss to the ST at all.

I'm not comparing them to a 20 year old £500 Escort, rather the fact that in 80's the XR range consisting of modern, quick sporty cars near the top of their game, much like the current ST range

That's the difference between the ST & RS range for me. The ST may arguably be the better road car but the RS is more aggressive and rarer due to limited production etc where the ST is a mainstream model, albeit a pretty fookin' good one

I still think that Ford will release another RS at some point and it will be comparatively hardcore like the Focus RS was, limited production, keeping the RS name for specialist models.

That's if they don't go bust of course
