May be able to just bond the top sections on or the screens might have to be cut out to have everything fitted properly...?

Please don't suggest I ring Autoglass etc. as they wont touch a job like this - they're only interested in piss easy jobs that insurance companies pay too much for!

Thanks in advance for any help/contacts
Not true Renton. I work for Autoglass and we do do remove and refit jobs for non-insurance work.

I myself have done quite a few purely for comsetic reasons, a couple of which were for "show " cars (one was a MINT RS2k, another was a mk1 Astra GTE, and also done a Saff purely cos the guy wanted a top tint in it)

From memory, remove and refit costs about £95 (could be wrong tho - I generally don't deal with pricing, just fitting)

If I was anywhere near Bath/Bristol I would do it for you myself as a private job. Not bigging myself up, but I'm pretty shit hot at this sort of thing and not done a Skyline for ages (last one I did was a manky R32 GTS, but screens are the same anyway)

In answer to the inital question - you could bond the new tims onto the top of the glass, but it'd look shit and not last. Anyone who does this is a fooking cowboy and deserves their hands chopping off.

The ONLY way to do it properly is to remove the screen whole, without cracking it, and fit the trims to the glass first, then refit it all in one go.
