Default Question about MP3's etc....

If I wanted to burn music onto CD-R to play in the car, what should I be doing?

I have an album here, which I received as a .zip file, which, when I unzipped it is each track as an .mp3 file, along with an image of the front and back covers.

I have another album, which has the tracks in .mpc format and also has .m3u and .nfo files in there too.

What is the difference in these formats? If I were to burn both onto a CD, would there be a difference in how these 2 albums played?

Is there an ideal format that I should be looking for??

Thanking you please.
