i give up,

its called 'lubriplate'

because my engine was going to be built & fitted/run in a hurry if i just 'oiled' everything most of the oil would run out by the time it eas started, therefore the bigends & mains have a smear of molycote (helps on first start up & bedding in) the lifters have some cam lube & the cams were smeared with lubriplate, therefore it should stay nice & fresh for a while.
The lubriplate is also used in the oil pump so it primes better, when its all fitted i will drive the oil pump before the engine is started to get the oil through the engine so it gets a good start in life
