Your 1.8 Sierra will be significantly cheaper to both buy and insure. The XR and RS badges will make insurers hike their policy.

If you are paying as much as that, I am guessing you have only recently passed your test, in which case the best advice is to gain some miles in the car you have, get some no claims, and then buy exactly what you want in a couple of years.

You will end up paying a fortunre otherwise in my experience.
