MY STANDARD CLOCKS WORKED PERFECTLY BEFORE I BROUGHT THEM IN FOR MODIFICATION.
FITTED THE CLOCKS AND THE REV COUNTER JUMPED FROM 3000-7000 AS THE CAR IDLED I LET THE CAR IDLE FOR ABOUT 10 MINS..
SPOKE TO MSD THEY TOLD ME WHERE THE MOD WAS ON CLOCKS AND TO CUT THE LINK AND TRY.I DID AND THE REV COUNTER DID NOTHING SO I SOLDERED BACK THE LINK WIRE TOGETHER NOW THE REV COUNTER WORKS BUT STAYS AT 800 RPM AT ANY ENGINE REVS.
BOUGHT ANOTHER SET OF CLOCKS FROM MY FRIEND DID THE MOD THAT MSD DID TO MY ORIGINAL CLOCKS AND SAME AGAIN COUNTER BOUNCING FROM 3000-7000 SO I QUICKLY REMOVED THE LINK WIRE AND RE FITTED THE NEW CLOCKS.
THE COUNTER SHOWS ABOUT HALF ENGINE REVS.
I DONT KNOW IF THE BRIDGING OF ONE OF THE RESISTORS ON MY ORIGIONAL CLOCKS HAS DONE ANY DAMAGE AS I LET THE CAR IDLE FOR 10 MINS BUT DID DO THE SAME MOD WITH NEW SET BUT REMOVED BRIDGE AFTER 3 OR 4 SECONDS.
IM NOT AFTER ANY THING ALL I WANT IS FOR MY REV COUNTER TO WORK.
I BOUGHT THE COILPACK ,HARNESS[SAME COMPANY IM TOLD THAT SUPPLIES THEM TO MSD]LEADS AND AMPS ALL BRAND NEW.
I OFFERED TO PURCHASE ANOTHER HARNESS FROM STU BUT HE TOLD ME THAT IT WOULD NOT BE THE HARNESS.
DRIVER BOARD AND CLOCK MOD FROM MSD.
IM NOT BAD MOUTHING ANYONE AT ALL JUST WANT TO BE POINTED IN RIGHT DIRECTION.CHEERS MARK
