do you want to know the reason women peirce their noses?

it goes back a long way
basicly, if your wife cheated on you, theyw ould put a ring in her nose with a chain attached to her ear, in the same way they put rings through cows noses, it's a sign that the woman has been trouble and, as they do with cows, yanking her nose soon pulls her back into line

there was a similar thing with the native americans where they would slit womens noses for being tarts just so that everyone knew that they were trouble and to avoid them

so if you have your noses peirced........................

nowadays it's almost considered art, but at least you now know

i love all this religoius stuff, you learn loads from it

also, regarding the wearing of turbans:

most sikhs wear the bangle, if only to show other sikhs that they are sikhs
the turban is worn to show that you have decided not to cut your hair (even though i know my brother in law wears one but he has cut his hair, it's a rule of the religion that you should not cut any of your hair on any of your body, thats why you see some indian old grannies with stubble)
if you go the whole hog and decide you wish to partake in the whole religios experenece then you "amrit shuck", which basicly is like being baptised and then you wear all 5 symbols of sikhism, follow the 5 main rules laid down (similar to the 10 comandments and that sort of stuff for the lot that follow the 10 comnadments side of churchy stuff yes, you can call me a heathen and an infedel if you like ) so it's a lifestyle choice
if you are a full sikh then you have attained the rank of preist

That 5 would include the "funky underpants" yeah?
