hello every one, im in a similar sort of situation to gaz (1st escort) im young, in full time education and obviously skint. so theplan is to buil this on a minaimal budget, not going mad with it, justy want it to look presentable,
had a brilliant start to the project as i managed to buy the car for £10
now, from that comment it just goes down hill;
its a 5 door
its got the horrib non colour bumpers
itd got the gay purple dash
and its a 1.3 hcs
after those bad pionts the reall problems dont seem to bad,
its got rusty sills, the rear breaks are siesed, the interior is standed, dent in the boot, theres grass growing on it, and the arches are rust, and the lump rattles like fuck.
any way, the plan is to get it road legal and looking presentable (and if funds allow one day to chuck a 1700 cross flow, or a series 3 zetec in , but i doubt this will happen for a long while)
and to make it more interesting, im going to keep a tally of every penny spent
so far is
car purchase- £10
paint for arch £10.39
im hopefully picking up my new welder i the week, and am currently trying to sorce a set or 15's for it (if any bodys got some for sale pm me please
)
not going mad with it, was thinking black wheels, black lights all round, mud flaps, lowered and some tints (just dark, nothing fancy) and going to repaint the plastic bumpers jet black and stick a splitter on, then ill turn to the interior, si wing backs, fez turbo sterring wheel (because ive got those two in the garage) and a head unit, disc loader and sub and amp (again, all recycled from in the garage)
like i said at the start, this isnt going to be a tarmac terrorist as ive got the rs for that, just want some thing presentable, and im going to do it as cheap as humanly possible,
hopefully getting some white dial clocks withthe rev counter built in so if ay one knows how to wire these in on the 1.3 id be greatfull for guidance.
also if any one has any parts that they think might be usefull to my project let me no
ill get some pics up when its sunny tommorow
