easy enough to do

remove the clock surround (4 screws - 2 top, and 2 hidden behind pry-off covers at bottom of surround), unplugging 2 rotary switches for dash light intensity and wiper speed

you may need to remove the steering column upper and lower surrounds depending on if you've got a fixed or adjustable steering column or not

undo 4 screws to remove clocks

pull the clocks forwards enough for you to reach around the back to unclip the speedo cable, then unplug the main multiplug and ABS wiring plug

you will find you've got more space if you remove the steering wheel and indicator and wiper stalks first if you can be bothered
