know the basics about electrics myself mate,once you have removed a loom you will know how to put it back in,my mate is an excellent mechanic and knows a bit about electrics but seems scared to do this sort of job, is like venturing into the unknown for him ,it seems a nightmare until you get into it honest you will change the loom in a shift no probs
i know most of the plugs just by looking at them so if you get stuck just put up a picky and i'll try to help mate but honest you cant go wrong,usually cut the wires for the roof clock interior light etc and join it to the new loom cos its a pain in the arse can be done in one piece but needs welding wire and a lot of patience ,also the fuel pump wire under the rear seat if you cut it just before the earth its only 2 wires you need to join cos can be a bit of a coont getting it through without dropping the tank sometimes
