The ones ive got are the later ones, and they have always been like this from ford and i my opinion are the better type, However you will find that if you buy from a Motor Factor they will come in two pieces. Also i have noticed that when people have changed the seal to later ones they have left the washer part in the head and placed the complete stem seal on top
