Hi,
Had my 2WD saff for six and a half years now, had loads of other performance cars including a 5.0 litre Mustang which was a great car and was good practise for going sideways in, but none have really captured the spirit as well as the cosworth. That goes properly sideways. I can still remember the day I got it and how quickly it wanted to swap ends! I soon found what you could and couldnt get away with and started driving it accordingly
Cant really see me ever getting rid of the Cossie, being a mechanic on a wide range of cars and getting to drive them I find a lot of newer performance cars lack soul and character, they are however very quick and capable theres no doubt about that.
I have spent a lot of time and money modifying and looking after the Cossie and keeping on top of the maintenance is essential. I have had one brake down in all that time due to a faulty crank sensor! I still get a buzz from driving my old warhorse all these years on, long may it continue.
CheeRS, Mike.
The way forward is sideways
