Ive found out what it is, if anyone is interested!! Had a few replies to the problem on www.rsownersclub.co.uk. They said this:-

"This 'belongs' with the Brembo brakes. Reversing and press the brake will give you a knocking sound. Drive forward and press the brake again, there is again the knocking sound. Nothing what you or Ford can do about it."
