not being funny mate but RST engines are not exactly known for thier reliabiliy are they , especially ones chucked into another car . No one is having a pop at ya, but if you have just started to sort your finances out why risk buying somthing that might land you with a bill for a couple of K overnight?

get somthing thats decent to start with but reliable, heres a few cars on the trader I found that are rally good cars for the cash, you can do bits and bobs to them tomake them faster and are solid as hell

My personal fave- the Mk2 GTE16v- 156 BHP out the box, bulle tproof motor http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www...00640251739158

Another awsome, under-rated car- the Mk5/6 RS 2000- bullet proof motor, reliable, camchain so no cambelt worries, 150BHP out the bx, superb handling, recaro interior-£1000 http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www...00639250882977

How about a fiesta RS 1800? 130BHP, light car, reliable zetec http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www...00639251515136

I have personally had an astra GTE 16v, and chip will tell you how strong the engines are ,I have had an RS 2000 16v, never let me down in a year , not had a fiesta, but theyalways get good press.... What i'm saying in the long run is that a turbo car will cause you headaches, a decent N/A car will be better on fuel all day long, and if you DO blow an engine then you can pick a good replacement up for less than £300 there are loads of quick fun reliable cars if you look around , just be sensible....

Oh and I do sympathise, its a fucker when someone lets you down like that
