True, but on the other hand people should teach their children you don't just walk upto a dog you don't know...
I have no problem when people ASK if they can stroke one of my dogs 'coz in that case I can keep an eye on the dogs AND on the children.
I don't think my dogs are malicious at all, but you never know for sure and that's why I never ever leave them alone with children...
Ah so it's the kids and their parents fault.

Stupid kids going up and stroking dogs, they should know better. And their stupid parents not sitting their explaining all the breeds to them.

Certainly not the fault of someone bringing a 50kg+ psychopathic wolf out in public.

Maybe they should have entrance exams before you are allowed to take your toddler into the pub?

They could hold up cards with pictures of different breeds on and the kid could explain a bit about the heritage and breeding lines of the dog, and details of the exact manner in which to appropriately pet one so as not to annoy it.
Then they could put a railing outside where people who's kids fail the dog exam and therefore arent suitable for being in a pub with potentially dangerous dogs could chain their kids up to on a lead while they are in the pub
