True, but on the other hand people should teach their children you don't just walk upto a dog you don't know...
I have no problem when people ASK if they can stroke one of my dogs 'coz in that case I can keep an eye on the dogs AND on the children.
I don't think my dogs are malicious at all, but you never know for sure and that's why I never ever leave them alone with children...
I agree to a certain extent, but kids of 6 or 8 or whatever are naturally inquisitive, you wouldnt leave guns lieing around a pub and then teach kids not to play with them, so the same should be true of dangerous dogs, if an animal isnt kid friendly it shouldnt be in public places where its likely to meet kids, especially not unsupervised, so i think you are right not to do so and shouldnt rely on kids being taught how to handle dogs.
