there is nothing on the gearbox side of the linkage, there is a gearchange stabalizer bar which only has a plastic washer and then there is the main selector rod which can only be adjusted for desired gear selection smoothness and tightened I supose doing the mod on the link above may be worthwhile but i found just buying original ford replacement parts for the linkage done the world of good. I now use the b&m quickshift which is great.
