Lee, in all fairness, you should have told the lad that he can have it for £2800 provided he is the winning bidder in the auction. I would have told him to go home and put a stupidly high bid on it so he won't get outbid and regardless of finishing price he can have it for £2800....

Either that or you should have cancelled the auction when you agree'd to sell it to him privately....
