2wd cossie brakes require modification to the hubs to accept the brakes. It's been so long since I looked into it, I can remember the specifics, but some drilling and tapping is required, maybe more.

4x4 front calipers bolt straight on though, albeit for 6mm of spacing out from the hub needed.

Standard discs, 278mm, and the above calipers with some good pads is more than enough for mk5/6 escorts
