Mate- ok I didn't build or spec the engine but before I brought the car I did go through with Karl what is required and from what he's got 2000 isn;t enough to make it fast like mine or Ollies- 2000 is enough to make it quicker than most.
The only thing he has thats any use is the Turbo as I believe they're up to the job.

Tell you what- a lot of people think they have fast ERST's but there is a world of difference between them and real fast ones.

Ultimatly it is what ever the lad in question wants to do and can afford.

I wouldn't waste 2k in not doing something quite right than doing a little bit that is required to watch it fall apart again. Hence costing you more than double in the long run.

what ever his choice is I hope he gets a big a smile on his face as I do when I drive my car- at the end of the day thats whats important.
