Its the outlet pipe from the external wastegate.
Sometimes its plumbed back into the exhaust system after the turbo or
just left open to atmosphere under the car and it makes a loud sound
that sounds like screaming.

Yep !! Its bl**dy loud. The more elderly/sensible person like myself vent it straight to the exhaust cos its too noisy, no diff to performance.
