I want to get my new engine sorted over the winter.

But I am in a right pickle as to what route to go down and where to begin....to put u in the picture my current engine in the S2 is standard, bar a zorst and runs 10ish psi unchipped and never been chipped 54K
I also have sitting in my garage a 2.0 mondeo block, had all the work done to make it a 2.1, has calibra turbo low comp pistons etc, so could be good? I want to go ZVH not full blown 16V, but I have been told that the pistons are no good for the ZVH and the compression ratio would not be correct for the CVH head ?
I dont want to have to start getting it all together only to find it will be scrap after a short time...
Wot do you suggest I do, sort the standard 1600 out, have it played about with, or go with the zetec block?
Tuners propper opinions would be nice or someone who really CAN give me a genuine answer
