they reckon its for security, eg, take a pic of your face when you get it frmo the shelf, then take a pic as you go into the checkouts to see if its the same face,

i dont know why they can get away it, human rigths etc etc but because its so new and unnoticed pubic opiniion is not yet against it, but it would if you knew what things they put RFID in
