well all is not lost, you still have a friendship but (i dont wish to build your hopes up) she may just start to see you in a different way now your feelings are out in the open. You must have knocked her for six when you told her but sometimes things can take an unexpected u turn but dont push anything and let nature take its course and maybe ........ just maybe. Like you said you would have a lifetime of kicking yourself if you didnt tell her but you have so just see what happens, good luck
