Not really, the car should start even if something electrically is at fault although it will be tricky, you need to see if you can get fuel out of the injectors, which can only happen with the pump running and the flap being depressed, if the flap isn't depressed it won't send fuel to the injectors.

Try that manually first, and the two bits on the metering head, are the flap position sensor, and the EMFPA (electro magnetic fuel pressure actuator)
