Because above 2 bar of boost you run the same ingnition curve as you would at 2 bar, as the map sensor cant see anymore (3 bar map). We had a slight crackle of det at 34 psi in 5th gear on the det cans so we took 2 degrees out to be safe. that was on optimax. Mark reckoned with a decent octane booster we may be able to add the 2 degrees back in. So we will see with the v-power. Of course retarding the igniton using the octane switch adjustment on a cossie, means you have 2 degrees retard throughout the rev range not just at hight boost
