1.6 mate 230 bhp is easy i had my series 2 (diffrent car i know but still 1.6) done at jamsport this week and it has a chip, filter, 2.5 exhaust straight through -31 and front mount and does 197bhp and 213lbft at 14.6 (1bar) head and cams should be 220-230 so 1.6 is better. bigger engines produce more power but dont put it down as well as a 1.6.
